Today’s recovery journal meditation is about not getting stuck trying to fix someone else’s stuff. Rather than add to the problem we choose to be an example to them -of better choices.
In recovery, we are shown how to carry a message of hope, not the person. Each individual has to move into action for themselves. We give suggestions, –sometimes strong ones. But we do not sit in the sh-t, -with them. We learn better -by example. So, we "be" the positive example to our person –to get out of that funk, by showing them the way. Which means: we take the suggestion our self. Aka, practice what you preach. Are you in a funk today?
As my day begins, I am laughing because last night I was in this negative space of blocking out the world, because of slow moving roads in my life. These roads get on my nerves at times. This morning I woke to this meditation, -ironic how we have to eat our own words, in recovery. I am reminded not to sit in my attitude -right now, because my day matters to me. You too, can decide to make your day matter, by choosing to dig in. Choose, to do it.
