Today’s recovery journal meditation is about keeping our eyes on our own plate by reinforcing more meaningful actions that build our character.
*This is the Excerpt from my book-series, “I didn’t ask to think this way, I just do...” that I am relating to. Book l Visuals, p.74, Recovery Journal Volume l, p.146.
Day Sixty-Three -Refocus –You’re Worth It
If you keep telling yourself you can’t do something, why else do you think you can’t do it? Your state of mind has everything to do with the quality of your daily living, because your life is what you think. Materials and circumstances are just flavoring to the meaning you are telling yourself. By the way, do you have any idea exactly what that meaning is doing to you? The meaning you give, builds up or tears down. Make the meaning you give, build your life stronger. Take the time to monitor yourself. Notice if you are thinking and focusing in on what everybody else is getting and doing, instead of reinforcing life on your side of the street.
Bring the focus back to your side of the street and stay there for a while. Tell yourself you are worth it, and mean it.
