Day Twelve: You Are Valuable -Somewhere People will show you how to free your mind, if you are brave enough to tell them what is going on inside of it! People somewhere on this earth care about you personally, do not give up until you find them!

Recovery life requires us to set aside our “what if’s” that protect us –but also keep people out. My Higher Power teaches me self-value through others. I’m reminded that I do matter and that I am not a piece of trash meant to be alone, or die in a gutter. Right now, as I begin to face this day, God is teaching me that this better outcome requires me to be a part of the Give & Take solution: by taking some type of action. Recovery takes effort –if you need some, go find some.

Focus on Step 5 today, We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. This step helps us to reach out in our daily life in simple ways. We don't have to spill the beans about personal stuff until we are ready, but we can start with simple communication.

Google Step Five for more insight.
