Knowing Where Home Is. Recovery Journal, Volume I Class Day Eight

Knowing where home is, means many different things. Do not take for granted that everybody knows where home is. Things happen in life that cause a person to retreat to the outside surface, never to look inward. It is easier to stay on a permanent auto pilot, because inward looks dark, dreary, & uninhabitable. Many use people, places, and things to distract this inward journey of discovery. However, there is always someone around nagging us about being still and knowing that a Higher Power is right here with us. They remind us to look inward just past the darkness to the empowering light of creativity to find where home is. Being at home inside makes outside purposeful no matter what comes down the pike good, bad, or indifferent.
