📕RecoveryJournals.org creates "Our Story" together a page a day.
Start journaling the unique book series that makes you an author and promotes better thinking by you writing the other half.
Hang out with us as we show the recovery life mixing in today’s world in a variety of ways with supportive social media and our website.
Today’s journal is about letting it all hang-out with your Higher Power. The good, the bad, & the ugly, Higher Power can handle it.
*This is the Excerpt from my book-series, “I didn’t ask to think this way, I just do...” that I am relating to. Book l Visuals, p.24, Recovery Journal Volume l, p.34
“Day Thirteen Turn to God –Anyway” God, sometimes I feel like a desperate sycophant, begging again and again to take this stuff that is stirring in my stomach, and do whatever You do with it. Embarrassed, I plead to just help me get out of my own way, here. Yet, truth be told as long as there is another day and I have another breath I will turn to You, to show me how to live, and You will. This constant thinking and worrying, I just don’t want it anymore! I suppose I better get used to this sycophant thing then. Do You think You could help me again, please?

No matter what we’ve gotten into our Higher Power offers us direction. It is up to us to seek it –in whatever way works for us. As I walk through today, I will remember to see God in the eyes of others who are finding their way the best that they can, and know that God is handling their stuff too. And today when I worry or feel unsure, I will remember to turn to God again and again and trust that I am being shown how to live and cared for –no matter what outside circumstances may look like.
Step 3 -We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him. This Third Step is a coping skill that we can use in the moment of crisis or quietly in our daily life occurrences. It gives us the ability to release pressure and return to better living, when sincerely applied.
