Day Twenty: Change is Possible

If you look into tomorrow maybe you’ll be lucky enough to have your mind intact, gray hair, and all your body parts, so you can look back to your past and say to yourself, “you damn dummy, cut it out, just love God, live your life, and keep reaching Higher.” Wake up, come back to now. Change is possible, keep exploring your hopes and dreams, because there are always new ones. Our life is not about constant worrying, or just about our job, or how to make more money. Unless you say it is. Do your-self a favor, remember your days are numbered here. Try harder not to waste them all.

It is here at this moment that we take the action to live out our heart's desire. It is now that we mold & care for the older person we are becoming, God willing, of course. We are not promised tomorrow. If we want to be kind, gentle, & loving then we make an effort to choose these things now. Nevertheless, we are free to choose to live daily in anger, resentment, & hate. But know that -choosing this daily will build a resentful older version of our self.

As I walk into my day now, I am reminded that I am in good health and God willing, still have a number of years left here. I choose to take care of this body my Higher Power has given me by feeding it good things, that’s speaking mentally, physically, & spiritually. Living in recovery guides me to deal with my life & offers a way out of bad mental health space. I’ll choose to take the recovery way out –often through-out this day. I really don’t want to be a crotchety old lady named Veronica. I’d rather be a kick-ass granny helping to brush you off & telling you to straighten up & fly right, -to get some recovery. Ha, Ha, Hug, Hug!

Focus today's meditation on Step 10 -We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it. Step Ten brings us into the moment by guiding us to reflect on the last 24 hours or to take account of what we are currently doing or how we are acting now. It teaches us that we can start over right now by doing something different. We can choose a better behavior. We also are taught to look at and acknowledge the good in ourselves, as well.
