*This is the Excerpt from my book-series, “I didn’t ask to think this way, I just do...” that I am relating to. Book l Visuals, p.27, Recovery Journal Volume l, p.40

Day Sixteen: Learning to Guard Your Mind Do, you think life is difficult? Do you, think life is difficult? Do you think, life is difficult? Do you think life, is difficult? Do you think life is, difficult? Do you think life is difficult? Then that is why, life is difficult. When we discover a draining thought, trash it, delete it, or write over it mentally by replacing the word with one that gives you the better outlook.

Learn to guard your mind by giving it better-thinking tools in the moment. It takes effort to lighten up and brighten up our outlook. Go ahead right now and put forth the effort to replace the word difficult, with the word Awesome, and re-read the entire thought. You’ll see that it takes practice on where to put the emphasis. That’s because you're telling your brain to do something different. You are worth it, so do it.”

“Relate, Comment, or Add to the Thought” comment below or on Facebook.

The thinking apparatus that we call a brain –our in-built computer will think of 1001 reasons why things aren’t right in our world -and We are asking it to answer, and it does so in the form of negativity. As we think so we are. So, we learn to guard our mind and ponder better self-questions. Right Now, as this day approaches I’m thinking constantly (telling my brain) about getting past any obstacle that prevents me from embracing my life as it is, -I mean this life is all I’ve got and I want to want it!

Focus today's meditation on Step Nine -We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. Step 9 helps us mend our ways to others and to ourselves. Giving ourselves something better to think on -is applying, a simple amends. It is a great place to start that produces well-being results that affects everything around us.

Homework: Google Step Nine for more insight, at some point today.
