Day 36 Journal Volume l -We Mess-Up, We’re Not Alone

Today’s RJL is about connecting with our true colors and our world’s true colors. Sometimes we think no-body else has problems because technology paints highlights. We channel into the highlights and compare ourselves to someone else’s outsides. Realize. Everybody messes up sometime, -not everybody gets out of it.

In recovery, we are shown people without masks. Sometimes it is tough to see people like this, -but it teaches us to trust in ways that we never imagined. Daily, we reach back and forth to assist one another no matter what mental color we are showing. Some-days we are doing okay, some-days not so much. Having taken off our mask as well, strong bonds are formed.

Walking into my day, right now I am reminded that I don’t have to wear a mask of perfection. I like my true colors. They are mixed –it is how my Higher Power made me and how my environment shaped me. My flaws are linked to my emotions... and -if or when they stir today, I will strengthen the ties that bind us together by taking the mask off and reaching out to you. You can do this too!
