Day 39: Journal Volume l -Stay Put and Walk Through It
📕Take a *Free Daily Walk* & Journal thru my book-series w/Me-RightNow
Today’s recovery journal meditation is about the ways that we distract our –self. It is saying to notice that wherever we go, we take our mindset with us. To notice also, that no matter how much or how little we have, -does not change that we still have issues.
In recovery, we are shown how to live each day without the use of distractions. This is not an easy task. Because in today’s world it is easier than ever to occupy the mind. We call this substitution. We replace a negative behavior in exchange for another distraction. We are taught to be still and deal with situations before they deal with us. Some do, some don’t. What do you want to do?
As my day approaches now, I am asking myself, what mental trouble am I putting off. I can recognize a trouble because it presents itself as a hassle, that I try to blow off. I am reminded to be conscious of not using distractions to cover my feelings. Instead to get with them, -by feeling them and letting them pass. I will take the guidance now and choose to stay put and cope, -by walking straight through difficulties, not postponing them. You can do this too, if you choose to.
