Today’s recovery journal meditation is about appreciating the life that is around you and the life that God has given to you, right now before it is gone.

“Day Fifty-Six -Appreciate God’s Work

Did you ever see them? Those purple-pink things out of the corner of your eye. You know, they are always popping up along the side of the road somewhere most times. What are they called? I remember. Flowers. That’s right, flowers. Maybe as a kid you stopped and enjoyed them, but as an adult it seems we only acknowledge their existence at funerals or special occasions. But the flowers are the special occasion. God makes all these beautiful flowers with fragrant smells, that are silky to the touch, just because He loves us.

Any moment of the day, we can have the physical feeling of God, just by holding one close and focusing to appreciate it. Do it today, because like the flower comes and goes, so too, do you.”
