Day Eight: Knowing Where Home Is

“I have been walking around this town the past few days feeling like a child inside. Looking to others for help. Not being sure if they can help because this current problem, seems so scary. I am missing the comfort of what is familiar. I feel as though I can’t clearly express what I need, so I stir in anxiousness as I look at the sea of faces, I feel alone.

How do I get out of this one, God? Tell me please because You are the only One here with me right now. “

I am reminded today to check if I am carrying the weight of a problem, past or present, too far! I realize that I can carry –any mental weight my life conjures up to the Highest Power I can fathom, and release it, surrender it, leave it there! Right Now. Some people call this Highest Power, the God of our understanding, some call it home. You can call it whatever you want, the point is, “It” takes the weight if you -let it go.

Focus today's meditation on Step 3 -We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him. What is going on in my life that I could turn over to a power greater than me and free myself from unnecessary worry.
