📕RecoveryJournals.org creates "Our Story" together a page a day.

Start journaling the unique book series that makes you an author and promotes better thinking by you writing the other half.

Hang out with us as we show the recovery life mixing in today’s world in a variety of ways with supportive social media and our website.

Today’s Recovery Journal Meditation is about realizing and accepting good direction from our surroundings. Repeatedly.

*This is the Excerpt from my book-series, “I didn’t ask to think this way, I just do...” that I am relating to. Book l Visuals, p.25, Recovery Journal Volume l, p.36

“Day Fourteen Letting Help –Help you” “ I bit the hand that fed me, and It came back with a glove on? It was then I knew that I didn’t want to bite it again, that this hand was with me for the long haul. “

We are who we are, I never did lose my bad attitude 100% -I just learned to channel it in a better direction that is helping, instead of destroying my environment.

As I start this day Right Now, I ask myself do I have an attitude or a conflict knocking around? If I do, I want to deal with it. I don't want to block recovery and sit in "stinking thinking" instead I will "deal up some courage" and use my foundation of recovery support.

Focus today's Meditation on Step 8 -We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

Start off by, letting go of the buts, but they did, I hear you but, but you don't understand, but, but, nothing -let this go. Step Eight helps us to switch positions to one of understanding instead being understood. This begins by understanding that the actions we have taken in the past might not be working and focus on becoming willing to do something different, with a simple different action.

Homework: Google Step Eight and read up to gain some insight, especially if you find yourself troubled today.
